Strategy today by Michael Porter

In the current issue of the Harvard Business Review, Harvard Business School Professor Michael Porter offers a new and updated take on his first – now classic – book “How Competitive Forces Shape Strategy” published in 1979, in The Five Competitive Forces That Shape Strategy.

The first GHD course “Introduction to Global Health Delivery,” offered at Harvard School of Public Health and just wrapped up yesterday, uses the HBS case method pioneered by Michael Porter.
