Meeting the challenge of health information access with open online collaboration

We were invited by the editors at PLoS Medicine to contribute to their blog, Speaking of Medicine, a post about GHDonline and open collaboration with web technologies for global health delivery. A lot could be written, but Anat Rosenthal, Research Fellow at the Department of Global Health & Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and I kept it brief, highlighting some examples of knowledge sharing as they’re happening today in GHDonline communities, in Meeting the challenge of health information access with open online collaboration.

Also noteworthy is the monthly series of three articles evaluating eHealth published by PLoS Medicine in August: Evaluating eHealth Interventions: The Need for Continuous Systemic Evaluation, and September for the second piece: Evaluating eHealth: Undertaking Robust International Cross-Cultural eHealth Research.
