Four social theories for global health

Arthur Kleinman shares his experience on teaching global health to Harvard undergraduates with Jim Kim, Paul Farmer, Anne Becker, and Salmaan Keshavjee in The Lancet , describing the social theories used to make more general sense of individual case studies in global health implementation and explaining why the introduction of “intellectual frameworks that lead to both a deeper critical reflection on disease and caregiving and new tools to improve practice” to students is long overdue.
