Jim Kim picked to lead World Bank: What it means for Global Health

What a great way to end the week: learning that our co-founder and inspiration, Jim Yong Kim, has been nominated by President Obama to head the World Bank. Partners In Health co-founder Dr. Paul Farmer applauded the nomination of his long-time colleague and friend. “I can think of no one more able to help families, communities, and entire nations break out of poverty, which is the stated goal of the World Bank,” Dr. Farmer said. He added that Kim was “an inspired choice.”
